Gift Deed
Service Overview
Service Overview
A Gift Deed is a legally recognised instrument through which a person voluntarily transfers ownership of movable or immovable property to another without monetary consideration.
For immovable property, a gift deed must be executed, properly stamped, and registered before the Sub-Registrar to be legally valid. The transfer must be voluntary, unconditional (unless legally structured otherwise), and accepted by the donee during the lifetime of the donor.
Proper drafting ensures clarity regarding property description, ownership details, intention to gift, absence of consideration, possession status, and rights being transferred. Incorrect drafting may result in disputes or invalidation.
This service includes drafting customised gift deeds, title verification, stamp duty advisory, registration assistance, and legal consultation regarding revocation clauses or conditional gifts.
The objective is to ensure lawful transfer of ownership, prevent future disputes, and secure proper documentation in family or personal property arrangements.
