Power of Attorney
Service Overview
Service Overview
Power of Attorney (POA) is a legal instrument through which one person (the Principal) authorises another person (the Attorney or Agent) to act on their behalf in specified matters.
POA may be general (covering broad powers) or special (limited to specific acts such as property sale, banking transactions, or litigation). It is commonly used in property transactions, business operations, representation before authorities, and when the principal is unable to be physically present.
For immovable property transactions, registration of the Power of Attorney is generally required to ensure legal validity. Proper drafting is crucial to clearly define the scope of authority, duration, revocation terms, and liability limitations.
This service includes drafting General and Special Powers of Attorney, advisory on scope and restrictions, stamp duty compliance, registration assistance, and revocation documentation.
The objective is to ensure a legally valid delegation of authority while safeguarding the principal’s rights and interests.
